The Man & His Music
All it took for Justin Echols was to be heard. And after the person listening was jazz mogul Wynton Marsalis, Justin's career took off and is still soaring. Five international tours, seven cd's, a four show debut at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola & Lincoln Center NYC, and his honorable mention on Forbes.com, made the 2012 Jazz Hall of Fame inductee infamous. In 2018, Justin was nominated for an Emmy for his mind blowing story which diagrammed a quick rise from soldier & Oklahoma City Police Officer to international performing artist. In January of 2020 Justin was presented the South OKC Chamber’s Native Son Award distinguishing him and his legacy in performance. In December 2021 Justin was presented The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Lee Allen Smith Legacy Award. Justin has since retired from Oklahoma City Police Department to pursue his music career.
